WHAT?

Any tabletop roleplaying game. You want to play it, bring it along and run it. It doesn't matter whether it's a mainstream system like Dungeons & Dragons, an indie game such as Dogs in the Vineyard, or something entirely of your own design. We welcome published and unpublished one-shot scenarios, free-form role-playing, and everything in between. It's generally RPGs that get played, with the odd boardgame happening in breaks between games or during a slot with people at a loose end.

A full list of games on offer is on the Concrete Cow games page.

WHO'LL BE THERE?

Traders

Emmanuel's Collective will be returning, with more traders TBC.

Gamers

That's you guys! And all the fantastic games you'll bring along and run. If you let us know what you're planning to run, we'll put it on the Concrete Cow games page.

(Note that for child protection reasons, under-18s will need to be accompanied by an adult at Concrete Cow.)

WHERE?

The Old Bath House, Wolverton, in the north-west corner of Milton Keynes. The full address is

The Old Bath House

205 Stratford Road
Wolverton
Milton Keynes

MK12 5RL

Maps are available on Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, and Streetmap.co.uk.

Directions for drivers are on the Concrete Cow directions page.

The nearest train station to the con is Wolverton, about five minutes' walk away. The station does not have step-free access. The Old Bath House is next to the large Tesco store in Wolverton. Once you get off the train, ask for directions to Tesco, climb the stairs/ramp by their front door, and you'll be outside the entrance to the Old Bath House.

More trains serve Milton Keynes Central, one stop south, which does have step-free access. If you're coming by train, beware the ticket price difference between Milton Keynes Central and Wolverton. It might be cheaper to get the train to MK Central, then a taxi (about £5-6) or a bus (£2-3) to Wolverton.

Inside, there are six main areas for gaming in the venue and a kitchen area for tea and coffee. All the rooms we use (bar one gaming room) are on the ground floor with level floors, step-free access, and wide doors. There's a wheelchair-accessible toilet. There are lots of tables and chairs around if you need them. The Old Bath House has a step-free entrance and there's step free access to the rest of Wolverton and all the car parks.

HOW MUCH?

£5.00 per person (free for under 18s) to cover the cost of hiring the hall.

SAFETY?

Concrete Cow will be a safe place for everyone to have their geeky fun. To help that happen, we have a harassment policy. It boils down to "be excellent to each other, and do something if you see someone else not being excellent," but please read the policy for details.

Harassment incidents will be handled by one or more of Scott Dorward, Amy Hewitt, and Neil Smith.

(You can also read our harassment handling procedures).

COVID?

We will require proof of vaccination for anyone wishing to attend the event, unless you have a valid medical exemption. We also recommend you take a lateral flow test.

Hand sanitizer will be provided.

GOOD CAUSES?

We'll be supporting Alzheimer's Society again, with a charity raffle and any profits we make on the door. If you can offer a raffle prize, please let me know.

While not a simple donation, the Old Bath House venue give us a very good rate on the room hire, which allows us to donate even more to charity. Thanks to them.

A great many thanks to everyone who is contributing prizes, and has done so in the past!

FOOD AND BOARD?

Hotels

For those staying overnight, there are various hotels and bed-and-breakfast establishments around Milton Keynes, Wolverton, and Stony Stratford

Food & drink

For other food, there's Tesco (with a coffee bar) and various takeaways in Wolverton. There's also a kitchen in the Old Bath House, and we'll provide things like tea bags, instant coffee, and washing-up facilities.
