- PCs witness Arthur draw the sword from the stone in St Paul's, attend a feast to celebrate the event, and thwart an attempt by Picts to steal the sword. At Carlion, they discover King Lot intends to defeat Arthur in battle, aided by a traitor in Carlion; Lot has captured Einir, wife of Rhodri, castellan of Carlion. The PCs rescue Einir, Carlion stands, and Lot is repulsed.

- Arthur sends the PCs on a diplomatic mission to Cameliard and Bedegraine. King Leodegrance agrees to help Arthur, Earl Sanam is ambivalent. Battle of Bedegraine. PCs are instrumental in Earl Sanam defecting from Lot and being accepted by King Arthur. Merlin heals Connerad at cost of him hating Caletus. Merlin directs Connerad and Caletus to dig silver from a barrow to pay King Arthur's army; Connerad denounces Caletus for trying to steal much of it.

- Earl Robert complains to Sir Badan that his tax money from Levcomagus hasn't arrived for the past few weeks. PCs discover it's a mermaid-powered plot by Sir Uffo, son of Duke Ulfius.
