As it stands, the hotel would prefer if we booked in March/April or October/November as it is outside of their wedding season so would consider offering us a discount for our numbers.

Preliminary Max Costs Per Person at the Swan Revived in Milton Keynes:

  • Double/Twin Room Sharing (Double or Twin): £100

This includes: Room, English Breakfast, Single Conference Room. If there is money left over I will ensure that we get drinks and what not for the game rooms.

A discount may be applied by the owners once we have booked a date.

Pros:

  • Relatively inexpensive compared to other hotels
  • Willing to accommodate us
  • Require payment closer to the time (so no upfront outlay for me!)
  • Family run business rather than conglomerate
  • Restaurant on site and on high street so other restaurants available
  • Breakfast included
  • Possible discount offered if booked in March/April or Oct/Nov.
  • Close to M1 J14
  • Close to Euston line via Milton Keynes Central or Wolverton Stations (still need a Taxi from both - about £5 from Wolverton, a little more from MK Central)
  • Close to Luton Airport and EasyJet flights to Europe and the rest of the UK

Con:

  • Distance from Train Station (Wolverton, not MK Central is the closest) requires a taxi
  • Distance from Bus Station (MK Central is the closest) requires a taxi
  • Would prefer us to book in March/April or Oct/Nov
  • Early checkout at 10:30. Need to speak to owners as they seem accommodating
  • Currently no hotel offered discount applied as we have not selected a date.
  • Rooms will need to be 'annexed' for gaming sessions. We may discount those folk if we get enough people - maybe not!
